Product Information
01.04.01 Anaesthetic equipment
Anaesthesia Ventilator Anevent

A small, adaptable time-cycled anaesthesia Ventilator (O2 or Air driven) that uses modern digital electronics to operate primary controls for Frequency; Tidal Volume; and set I : E ratios.
The provision of both pressure alarms and a maximum inspired limit control makes it safe for the automatic ventilation of both adults and children using either Circle or Bain Breathing Circuits.

It can be ergonomically sited on the side of the machine close to the Flowmeter Block and the volumes being delivered to the patient can be easily read from the scale on the Bellows system chamber.

The simple safe design also ensures reliability and facilitates both cleaning and maintenance.

Anaesthetic Machine Upgrade Programmes

Anmedic manufacture and supply their Anevent compact anaesthesia Ventilator together with a wide range of Circle Systems; Bellows Assemblies; and associated components for the upgrading of existing anaesthesia machines to enable closed circuit techniques to be practiced Although all the above items can be installed individually onto any anaesthesia machine, Anmedic have formulated two Upgrade Programmes to ensure that the optimal desired performance will be achieved dependent on the financial outlay available.
Anmedic Programme 1 comprising:
Anevent Ventilator
SystemS BIB Bellows Assembly
APL Valve
Q2 (or Q-Mix) Circle with change-over valve
All tubing; mountings and connectors

Anmedic Programme 2 comprising:
Anevent Ventilator
UFAS 2000 BIB Bellows Assembly
UFAS 2000 connection block
Q2 (or Q-Mix) Circle
All tubing; mountings and connectors

Flexima 2 Upgrade Programme:
Anmedic can also offer the replacement of either the Flexivent V29 or Penlon AV600 Ventilators, previously provided on the Datex Flexima 2 machines, for the Kestrel V5 ventilator (IMV; SIMV; PCV).

Additionally, if the Flexima 2 has a Dameca Bellows Assembly and Circle System this can be upgraded with the Anmedic systems.

Bellows System S

A cost effective ascending BIB Bellows Assembly capable of being used, in conjunction with the Anevent Ventilator and Q2 Absorber with change-over valve.
An external APL Pressure Relief Valve is fitted on the expiratory port of the Circle Absorber and a separate PEEP Valve can be fitted on exhaust gas port of Bellows unit.

The Bellows SystemS can be conveniently positioned on the side of a machine via a Modura T-slot holder.

The simple safe design ensures reliability and facilitates both cleaning and maintenance.

Circle System Q with change-over valve

A compact, light-weight Circle Absorber complete with a unique by-pass valve that automatically shuts off the absorber connections when the canister is removed.
This facility thus allows the change of the Absorber Canister (either re-usable or disposable model) during anaesthesia without gas leaking from the patient’s breathing circuit.

Additionally this unit incorporates a change-over valve so that the clinician can easily and quickly change between manual and automatic ventilation and it has been designed to primarily operate with the Bellows Systems Assembly.

The simple safe design ensures reliability and facilitates both cleaning and maintenance.

Circle System Q-Mix

A compact, light-weight Circle Absorber offering all the benefits of the Q2 unit but additionally incorporating a simple, mechanical “shunt valve”.
This infinitely variable valve offers the clinician the ability to control how much of the expired gases is directed back through the Absorber’s soda-lime.

The patient’s optimal end tidal CO2 level can therefore be achieved without compromising the degree of ventilation required.

The simple safe design ensures reliability and facilitates both cleaning and maintenance.

Circle System Q2

A compact, light-weight Circle Absorber complete with a unique by-pass valve that automatically shuts off the absorber connections when the canister is removed.
This facility thus allows the change of the absorber canister (either re-usable or disposable model) during anaesthesia without gas leaking from the patient’s breathing circuit.

The Inspiration and Expiration Valves are sited on the front of the Q2 Block and are therefore easily visible and there is a luer-lock connection for the return of sample gases.

The simple safe design ensures reliability and facilitates both cleaning and maintenance.

FALCON Anaesthetic Machine

[The Falcon Anaesthesia machine is a product previously sold by Anmedic]

An easy to use, trolley-based or pendant-mounted anaesthetic machine for Operating Theatre applications with a traditional gas delivery and pneumatic hypoxic guard facility.

The integrated KESTREL anaesthesia ventilator offers both Adult and Paediatric capabilities via the provision of both Volume and Pressure control modes together with Circuit Compliance and Fresh Gas Compensation.

Complete with an ascending BIB Bellows Assembly and Anmedic Mini-Absorber, the system is ideally designed for closed circuit / low flow anaesthesia.

The Falcon/Kestrel system has been technically assessed by the Medical Devices Agency (NHS - UK) and their evaluation has been published in MDA Report No. 404.

FALCON SE Anaesthetic Machine

The Falcon SE combines traditional, reliable anaesthesia gas delivery and anti-hypoxia safety features with the latest Ventilator and Low Flow technology.
It’s innovative, ergonomic design enables the clinician to operate within a “Cockpit” thus ensuring the effective visual management of critical data from all the monitoring systems.

The simple, intuitive operating system ensures that all levels of clinical staff can quickly learn how to use the SE both Safely and Effectively.

HAWK Induction Unit

A compact, portable anaesthesia delivery unit which can be either wall/pendant or trolley-mounted in both MRI and non-MRI operating sites.
It offers a traditional gas delivery system complete with pneumatic hypoxic guard facility together with a single Vaporiser mounting position and auxiliary driving gas outlets for both O2 and Air.

Closed circuit capability can be provided by the addition of Anmedic’s Q2 standard or MRI compatible circle system.

KITE Anaesthetic Machine

A compact, trolley-based or pendant-mounted machine designed primarily for Induction Rooms and peripheral anaesthesia locations.
Based on the same traditional gas delivery and hypoxic guard system as the Falcon, it is supplied with a drawer unit; top shelf; O2 monitoring and 4 x UK electrical outlets as standard.

If required, closed circuit / low flow anaesthesia capabilities can be provided by the addition of one of Anmedic’s Upgrade Programmes.

UFAS 2000

A unique Bellows System comprising a connection block, which contains the auto/manual bag/vent switch; APL Valve and system manometer, mounted onto a BIB (Bag in Bottle) Bellows Unit via a simple click lock.
As the connection block does not come into contact with the patient’s gases it can remain on the machine with only the bellows unit being required to be either cleaned/sterilised or, in a worst case scenario, replaced.

A separate PEEP Valve (2Ð20 cmH2O) can also be added if required.

The simple safe design ensures reliability and facilitates both cleaning and maintenance.
