Arizant Healthcare Inc. develops and manufactures a complete line of temperature management products.

Bair Hugger:
Bair Hugger forced-air warming units and disposable warming blankets are used to maintain perioperative normothermia. Bair Hugger blankets efficiently and safely warm patients when used with Bair Hugger temperature management units. The blankets come in a wide variety of styles to meet virtually every need for preventing and treating hypothermia.

Ranger Blood/Fluid Warming System:
Warming infused fluids help maintain a patient’s core body temperature.
The Ranger blood/fluid warming system uses SmartHeat™ technology to effectively warm fluids, helping maintain surgical normothermia. The Ranger system is optimized for responsiveness and maximum heat transfer along the entire range of flow rates, from routine to trauma infusions.

241 Blood/Fluid Warming Set:
Warm fluids easily and efficiently without
a stand-alone fluid warmer.
The Bair Hugger brand and 241 blood/fluid warming set gives you two warming modalities from one piece of equipment.

Bair Hugger Therapy:
Dr. Scott Augustine developed Bair Hugger forced-air warming units and disposable warming blankets after observing that patients often came out of surgery uncomfortably cold.

Clinical research has shown that even mild hypothermia in the perioperative period (immediately before, during and after surgery) has significant negative outcomes. Maintaining perioperative normothermia (a core body temperature of 37˚C, or 98.6˚F) lowers mortality rates, minimizes the incidence of postoperative wound infections and myocardial infarction, reduces the use of blood products and shortens hospital length of stay. Clinical studies also show that core body temperatures can drop significantly over the course of even short surgical procedures.

Because of this mounting evidence, forced-air warming has become the standard of care in managing the core body temperature of surgical patients.
