Armacell - Tradition which points towards the future.
Armacell is the successor company to the former insulation products division of Armstrong World Industries (Armstrong Insulation Products) which was founded in June 2000 as a management buy-out. The approximately 2.300 employees of this company, which is the leading manufacturer of flexible technical insulation worldwide, produce and sell products for heat and refrigerating insulation in domestic and industrial service facilities. Armacell not only produces the trademark ARMAFLEX, which has advanced to being the generic term for highly flexible, closed-cell plastic foams based upon elastomers. It also manufactures thermo-plastic pipe insulation under the brand-name TUBOLIT and jacketing systems for insulation which are made of metal and PVC and sold as OKA products. Since the management buy-out Armacell has intensified its endeavours to penetrate new business areas. Apart from special foams for industrial applications (Ensolite, Monarch, ArmaSound) and the sport and physiotherapy sector (ArmaSport), the company also offers edge protection profiles (OleCell) for many different areas of application. Armacell has 20 production plants in North and South America, China, Asia Australia and Europe, three of which are in Germany. Armacell International GmbH, the holding for companies and sales offices operating worldwide, is based in Münster, Germany.
