Reliable, robust and easy to use, the Ascom p71 is a messaging unit specially developed for work places where urgent situations require immediate action.
One of the most prominent features of the Ascom p71 is its size. The messaging unit is large enough to display messages clearly and small enough to be easy to carry.
The p71 is available in two versions; basic and advanced. The basic version is a one-way text message receiver, ideal for environments and situations where you need to get your message across quickly and simply. The advanced version has a two-way messaging functionality and a large backlit LCD display.
Both Ascom p71 versions can be programmed to receive vital information from machines, building automation systems, alarm systems etc.
The Ascom p71 is also available in an ATEX version – approved for use in potentially explosive environments.

The teleCOURIER 914D is the dependable link between information and direct action. With no need to press any buttons to read a message and with an automatically scrolling top display, messages can be read while the pager is placed in a pocket. Wireless nurse call with positioning gives new benefits
to elderly care

Many elderly people living in care homes suffer from dementia of varying types and severity, but can be still physically healthy and active. They need to be able to call for help at a moment’s notice. Even though keeping a watchful eye on these residents is of vital importance, locating them once the call has been received places a heavy burden on staff. With Ascom teleCARE WP a new standard in wireless nurse call for the elderly care segment this is no longer a problem.

Calls for help, from residents and patients are triggered from small wireless wrist devices and sent direct to the responsible staff member, using a combination of new and proven technologies. On top of that, the location of the person calling is also part of the message. This means that staff members are informed about the whereabouts of their residents and patients. This results in a higher efficiency, as no time is wasted to search for the caller. The privacy of the residents and patients are respected at all times, as the location is only available during emergency situations.

Convergence of networks is nowadays a hot topic and hospitals are no exception to this trend. That is why we in Ascom are launching a new generation nurse call system based on IP technology.

Our teleCARE IP system. However only using IP is not enough, we wanted to make it secure and safe under all circumstances, so that we can live up to our motto, “a call will never be lost”.

teleCARE IP is just doing that. Not only it ensures a high level of reliability and safety, also fall back scenario’s are standard in the system available. But we are doing more. We deliver the call to the responsible nurse or nurses and if she/he is busy to the next. teleCARE M Nurse Station Server 11.10.2007

Manages your teleCARE M System

The Nurse Station Server enhances the use of your teleCARE M system as it manages the organisation of the work at the ward or nursing units. The Server is situated between the teleCARE M nursecall system and the local area network (LAN) of the institution. By doing so, it is possible to “get in contact” from any workstation to the teleCARE M system. Standard web browsers are used to present the information.

The Nurse Station Server gives you possibilities to interrogate the teleCARE M system logfiles, which provide an overview of all calls detailing when they entered the system, when and where cancelled, etc. Different filters can be applied to quickly find the information needed, or to search for a specific room/bed combination. Assignments are rapidly made and patients are assigned to nurses at any point in time. Duty rosters can easily be prepared in advance and all assignments can be printed out to accommodate duty hand-overs, etc.

The teleCARE M patient handsets combine functionality and nice design as well as offer the patient a comprehensive set of services. Four specifically developed lightweight and durable handsets with different functionality can be combined in any teleCARE M system. All handsets are waterproof and can be “dip-sterilised”.
The unique Safe Release plug connects the handset to the switch module and is automatically released if excessive strain is applied to the handset cable. This significantly reduces the number of damaged plugs and broken cables, saves repair costs and increases system reliability.

The multi-purpose switch

A unique combination of design and functionality characterises the teleCARE M switch modules with one, two or three function-button combinations. This could be anything from a single call button to a combination of normal call, assistance call, nurse presence, cancel and bed-light control. The switches can be freely combined in any teleCARE M system to support individual requirements. Up to three switches can be fitted to the same backplate for easy installation.
The Safe Release socket connects the teleCARE M patient handset to the switch module. The snap fitting releases the plug if exessive strain is applied, which reduces the number of damaged plugs and broken cables. This significantly saves repair costs and increases system reliability.
