Company Profile

About us
Founded in 1991, SeQual Technologies Inc. is a global leader in providing innovative oxygen
concentrator systems and air-dryer products for medical, military, industrial and commercial
markets.
SeQual’s oxygen concentrators range from the 3 LPM (liters-per-minute) continuous flow
portable Eclipse™ to the popular, easy-to-use bedside Integra 10 LPM unit to large industrial
systems. The company’s oxygen systems and air dryers are known worldwide for their
reliability, quality, revolutionary design and economy.
SeQual® is a private company based in San Diego, California. The company holds 15 U.S.
patents, as well as foreign counterparts. As of spring 2006, SeQual has 68 employees, 21 of
whom work in research and development. It has 42,000-square-foot corporate headquarters and
manufacturing facilities in San Diego and uses an approximately 100,000 square foot
manufacturing plant in Taiwan.
SeQual is committed to a program of continual improvement and expansion of its air separation
product line, constantly striving to identify new opportunities for on-site gas separation. To that
end, SeQual is interested in partnering with customers or other interested parties to develop new
gas separation products for specific medical, industrial or consumer applications.
History
SeQual Technologies was incorporated in 1991 and began operations in 1993 to develop and
commercialize an innovative approach to air separation. The Advanced Technology Fractionator
(ATF®), invented by San Diegans Charles and Ted Hill, offers superior performance in
applications ranging from medical oxygen concentrators to hydrogen separation for the clean
energy systems of the future. More information on the ATF® can be found in the Technology
section, below.
The first commercial application of the ATF® was by Caire, Inc., a Minneapolis manufacturer of
oxygen concentrators and an early SeQual partner. Caire introduced the Breeze and the Quiet
One concentrators designed around SeQual’s ATF® module in 1997.
In 1998, Teijin, Ltd., the largest manufacturer of medical oxygen concentrators and the largest
home oxygen provider in Japan, began the process of converting its entire product line to take
advantage of the ATF® module benefits in the Japanese home oxygen therapy market. Today all
of Teijin’s concentrators employ SeQual’s proprietary ATF® technology.
