SISSEL® worldwide - a philosophy makes its way
In 1986 Swedish entrepreneur Carl-Emil Christensen and his wife Sidsel set about fighting Sidsel’s neck pains. As therapist she had the professional knowledge which requirements an effective neck pillow had to meet – the SISSEL® pillow was born.

Many experts from therapy, hospitals and rehabilitation applied the pillow and the success of its function, reflects in many current clinical studies.

Initially the product was sold in Sweden only, to be followed by partnerships abroad. Starting 1990 the RUHEWOHL/SISSEL® neck pillow, as it was called in German-speaking countries back then, was sold in Central Europe.

It has always been our goal to maintain excellent relations to therapists, health product specialists and consumers. With their help and constructive input we have established a comprehensive range of superior health care, fitness and wellness products.

SISSEL® products became available in more and more countries. Not only in France, the Netherlands and other European nations but also in the United States and Canada.

In 2001 a structural re-organization made way to additional growth. Since then SISSEL products have become available in Russia, Saudi Arabia and over 25 countries all over the world. Today over 300,000 professionals recommend SISSEL products worldwide, contributing to a successful therapy, prevention and rehabilitation.
